Last time we discussed the elements of Hip-hop on the music side of it and now we tackle the remaining elements which are Graffiti Art, Street Fashion and Language plus Street Entrepreneurialism. Sa ibang list or articles it’s only 4 or 5 main elements: DJing, MCing, Breakdancing & Graffiti and the rest are considered subcultures and some say Graffiti is not connected to hip-hop. If you didn’t catch the 1st part here’s the link: https://therealphs.com/elements-of-hip-hop-part-1/
5th element: Street Fashion: Subculture nasiguroito, pero isa itosamga obvious elements napagnakita mo eh matatawag mo naagadna “hip-hop” but if you cross the line or the public somehow disagrees “jologs” agadangbansagsau or ano pang kinginang millennial term bullshittery na meron ngaun.
Street fashion is not only limited to hip-hop but it branches from many fields such as Hippie, Rasta, Punk or Gothic and more. For Hip-hop fashion, notable brands connected to these are Ecko, Tribal and the undying F.U.B.U (For Us By Us).
